Batian Peak's Initiatives

With our beginnings rooted in coffee and tea farms in Kenya, we have a passion to make a difference in our communities. We are blessed to be doing what we love to do for a purpose and we strive to understand that purpose and stay true to our humble beginnings.

As many of you may know, Africa is stricken with poverty and disease, especially with the current AIDS pandemic. Kamau's (founder of Batian Peak) mother, Wanjiku, has spent the last 20 plus years passionately involved in the fight against AIDS. Her passion provided us with an opportunity to give back to our communities.

We have partnered with SAFI (SAFI stands for Seperating AIDS from Immorality), an AIDS and Leadership organization based in Kenya. SAFI's main goal is to focus on educating young people about AIDS by equiping them with knowledge and inspiration that will enable them to not only stay healthy, but become grassroots leaders in their villages

SAFI organizes leadership trainings camps to train young people on AIDS/healthcare, entrepreneurship, life skills, and leadership skills. SAFI believes that a grassroots approach that emphasizes a real understanding of the social-economic issues causing the spread of AIDS is the key to fighting the disease effectively.
